The Walnut Avenue United Methodist Church is a unique place in contra costa county. 

We believe we have the only out-of-doors Meditation labyrinth in the county. 

We also have a community garden area where vegetables, fruit, and flowers are grown by the renters of various plots. 

The walnut avenue Preschool, located in back of the sanctuary, has a lively attendance. 

We also have a church garden which features plants from the bible.

Our 2nd Saturday Concert Series is an economical musical experience which helps us to raise money for our various charities. Excellent music every 2nd Saturday of the month at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.

Our congregation sponsers families at Christmas; we support the contra costa - solano food bank and the hillcrest food bank; we support the heifer project, and other charities. 

We have a "Dorcas circle" and various prayer and spiritual growth groups.
